Née en Moldavie, Angela a commencé à dessiner à l’âge de 8 ans et à peindre à 10 ans. Malgré son très grand talent, ses parents ne l’ont pas encouragé à développer ce dernier, mais l’ont plutôt dirigé vers les études classiques en espérant qu’elle soit acceptée en médecine.
Elle s’est mariée au peintre renommé Victor Colesnicenco (AKA Nemo) qui expose dans de nombreuses galeries au Canada et aux États-Unis et qui connait un très grand succès depuis plusieurs années. Grâce aux nombreux voyages, aux nombreuses rencontres et à force d’être exposée aux œuvres de son mari, elle a décidé de faire le saut et de peindre elle aussi. Son premier vernissage eu lieu à la plus prestigieuse et la plus importante exposition d’art soit la Art Expo de New York. Son travail fut très bien reçu et elle se dévoue à temps plein à son art depuis cette exposition.
Le présent tableau du Petit Champlain à Québec est un très bel exemple de son travail. Et il faut s’attarder aux nombreux détails pour réaliser jusqu’à quel point le sujet la captive et la passionne et jusqu’à quel point le travail méticuleux fait partie de son ADN.
Elle peint surtout les endroits qu’elle visite en voyage et les tableaux de la ville de Québec sont rares et recherchés. Cette représentation du Petit Champlain en hiver est tout particulièrement bien réussie.

Angela Colesnicenco (1969 - ),
Winter in Québec city.
Born in Moldova, Angela started drawing at the age of 8 and painting at 10. Despite her great talent, her parents did not encourage her to develop the latter, but instead directed her to classical studies, hoping that she would be accepted into medicine.
She married the renowned painter Victor Colesnicenco (AKA Nemo) who exhibits in numerous galleries in Canada and the United States and who has enjoyed great success for many years now. Thanks to the many trips, the many meetings and by constantly being exposed to her husband's works, she decided to take the leap and paint too. Her first vernissage took place at the most prestigious and important art exhibition, the Art Expo in New York city. Her work was very well received and she has devoted herself full time to her art since this exhibition.
This painting of the Petit Champlain in Quebec is a very good example of her work. And you have to look at the many details to realize how much the subject captivates and passionates her and how meticulous work is part of her DNA.
