Patricia Nguyen Minh-Huong

Patricia Nguyen Minh-Huong est native du sud-es de l'Asie.

Elle possède une formation classique de l'École des Beaux-Arts de Huê (Viêt-Nam), a aussi étudié la littérature française et la philosophie à l'Université de Lettres à Huê (Viêt-Nam), 1974. Première exposition de groupe avec les étudiants de l'École des Beaux-Arts en janvier 1975 (Viêt-Nam).

Elle quitte son pays natal pour venir apprivoiser son pays adoptif, le Québec (Canada) en 1979. Combiner arts et travail en un passe temps, elle est devenue une artiste autodidacte, représentée par plusieurs galeries à travers le Canada, la France et les États-Unis.

Elle peint à l'huile des paysages, natures mortes et personnages. Les oeuvres de Patricia Nguyen Minh-Huong se retrouvent dans plusieurs collections publiques et privées et des entreprises mondiales.

Patricia Nguyen Minh-Huong was born in Vietnam in 1956. She studied French Literature and Philosophy at the Hue University while she was learning to paint at the Hue College of Fine Arts. While there, she also studied French literature and philosophy.

Patricia’s first group exhibition was with students from the School of Fine Arts in January 1975 (Vietnam). She left her homeland to come to her adopted country, Canada in 1979, settling in Quebec.

Combining art and work in a hobby, Patricia became a self-taught artist, represented by several galleries across Canada, France and the United States. In Ottawa, Ontario, Patricia Huong has been represented for many years by Koyman Galleries.

Using her favourite medium; oil paint, she creates landscapes, still life, and figurative works in vibrant blocks of colours. Her compositions are quite often androgynous figures gathered together cheerfully playing their musical instruments against a landscape of buildings. The feeling that she evokes in her painting is one of happiness and fun.
